Tongue Storage Mount
This section applies only to pull-type planters. For 3PYP
and 3PYPA models see “3PYP/A 3-Point Storage
Mount” below.
Refer to Figure 21
11. Remove and save the nuts and washers
hitch bolts. Leave the bolts in place.
12. Inspect the orientation of the nuts and washers
on the hitch bolts. If the nuts are on the right side of
the hitch, continue at step 15.
13. Use a jack or hoist to slightly to raise either the
tongue or the hitch until one tongue bolt is loose.
Remove it from the right side of the tongue and
insert it from the left.
14. Adjust the jack or hoist to slightly to raise either the
tongue or the hitch until the other tongue bolt is
loose. Remove it from the right side of the tongue
and insert it from the left.
15. Select one new:
401-974H PTO PUMP STORAGE MNT
Place the mount on the exposed threads of the
tongue bolts, with the mount lugs to the left and
forward. The tube is then oriented vertically, tipped
slightly to the rear at the top.
16. Secure the mount to with the saved washers and
nuts.

3PYP/A 3-Point Storage Mount
This section applies only to 3PYP/A planters. For pull-
type planters, see “Tongue Storage Mount” above.
Refer to Figure 22
17. Select one new:
401-982V 3PYP PTO PUMP STORAGE MNT
consisting of one:
401-981H 3PYP PTO PUMP MNT WLDMNT
and two sets:
802-041C HHCS 1/2-13X3 1/2 GR5
803-147C NUT HEX NYLOCK 1/2-13
Remove the fasteners.
18. Slide the mount weldment
onto the right end of
the 3-point hitch tool bar. Loosely secure it with the
bolts
and lock nuts
. It is adjusted at step 88

Roll-Away / Crushing Hazard:
Do not lift on an unlevel surface. The planter might shift or roll
away, resulting in serious injury or death, and substantial
equipment damage. If the planter is not parked on a
completely level surface, verify that the wheels are chocked to
prevent movement. The tongue jack or parking stand may be
the only resistance to motion.
