Selected Area for Smart Search
The grid that you might find in Activity tab of camera Edit wizard in Video Manager
and the Smart Search grid have a different origin. They look the same but have a
different meaning.
In the masking image space in the Activity tab you choose the area where you do not
want to record activity.
By selecting a search area in the Smart Search window, you choose the area where
you search activity for. If you selected an area of image where the activity mask is
applied, you will get a message on the playback page saying: “No recordings were
found for the specified time period”.
If you press the Search button but did not select any area you will get the following message:
No Search Area Selected
After you set all the configurations, Smart Search will be performed and you will be
redirected to the playback page.
