4.3.4 Smart Search
Smart Search is a solution to search for activity in a user-specified, dynamic region of
interest and time interval. This feature allows you to look for activity recordings in a specified
area. Smart Search is a dynamic solution because all the parameters can be adjusted for every
search separately (including the area). You can navigate to the Smart Search in the following
way: Video Browser  Recordings  Smart Search tab.

4.3.4.1 Smart Search Interface
Below are the main control buttons and options of the Smart Search page described:
 Time period search field – general parameter for playback search page. You can
choose any time period you need. Note that the bigger the time period you choose the
more time it might take to search for the recordings.
 Camera name – the name of the camera that is currently displayed on the screen
below.
 radio button – if this button is checked, you can select the area
where you want to perform Smart Search.
 radio button – if this button is checked, you will DEselect the
previously selected area.
 Question mark button - while pressing this button you will get the help window
with information on how to select the area you want to search recordings for:
