Sensor Band Compatibility
The sensor band assemblies are interchangeable with all sensor head
cover assemblies of the same pipe diameters. Meter calibration
factors are included for each sensor band assembly. All sensor head
assemblies, independent of pipe size, are electrically compatible with
all transmitters. Care must be taken to ensure compatibility of sensor
heads and transmitters used in hazardous areas. Follow the
instructions in the applicable Control Drawing governing transmitter
and sensor head compatibility. The Class I, Division 2 Control
Drawing can be found in Appendix C of this manual. The ATEX Class
I, Zone 2 Control drawing can be found in an appendix in SONAR
PROCESS MONITORING SYSTEM SUPPLEMENT FOR ATEX
ZONE 2 SAFETY.

Hazardous Area Classification
System models exist which are rated for use in Class I, Division 2,
Groups A, B, C, and D, or for ATEX Class I, Zone 2, Group IIB. The
markings on those models clearly indicate their suitability for use in
those environments. Installation must be in accordance with the
appropriate Control Drawing. The Class I, Division 2 Control Drawing
