Netcool/OMNIbus support and requirements
HP Insight Integration module for Netcool/OMNIbus has been developed to work with the following
applications:
• IBM Netcool/OMNIbus 7.2.1
• IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus Mttrapd probe
Netcool/OMNIbus patch requirements
The following minimum Netcool/OMNIbus patch levels are required to implement the functionality of
rules file.

IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus Mttrapd probe
HP Insight Integration module for Netcool/OMNIbus has been developed to integrate over 2550 HP
ProLiant SNMP traps generated by HP Insight Management Agents and includes event translation and
automated event correlation. The Mttrapd probe helps provide this capability.
At least one system on the network must have a Netcool/OMNIbus Mttrapd probe installed and
configured to forward the HP and the Fibre Channel Management SNMP traps to the Event List. All
managed HP servers must be configured to forward SNMP traps to the Managed Node or Endpoint
device containing the Netcool/OMNIbus Mttrapd probe.
Netcool/OMNIbus operating environments
On Oracle SPARC-based platforms, the following versions are supported:
• Solaris 8
• Solaris 9
• Solaris 10
On Hewlett-Packard PA-RISC-based platforms, the following version is supported:
• HP-UX 11i (11.11)
On IBM PowerPC-based platforms:
• AIX 5L (5.2 RS/6000 32-bit)
• AIX 5L (5.3 RS/6000 32-bit)
On Intel x86 processor and chipset-based platforms, the following versions are supported:
• Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
