Mapped Server

The server to which the SA7150 sends messages for which no XML
expression match is found among the active XML patterns, including
any that contain the keyword “default” in their XML expression
component.

Node

A location, identified by type, within an XML document. Node types
are: elements, attributes, and text (see all).

Operators

SA7150 operations use three types of operators: step, comparison and
Boolean. Please see the separate definitions for each of these for
details.

Port

In the context of TCP/IP sessions, a unique protocol-specific handle.

Private Key

The part of a key in a public key system that is kept secret and used
only by its owner. It is used for decrypting messages and for making
digital signatures.

Public Key

The part of a key in a public key system that is distributed widely, and
is not kept secure. Used for encryption or for verifying signatures.

Service

A service is an IP application paired with a port number. For
example: “HTTP:80.” This describes a service consisting of a server's
HTTP application listening on port 80. Another example of a service:
“FTP:21.”

Signing Request

Required for a request for certificate authentication by a Certificate
Authority.

SNMP

Simple Network Management Protocol. An application-layer
Internet protocol by which multiple devices in a network can be
monitored and to some extent configured.

SSL (Secure Socket

Layer)

Protocol developed by Netscape* for encrypted transmission over
TCP/IP networks, setting up a secure end-to-end link.

Step Operator

Step operators tell the SA7150 hierarchically where within an XML
data tree to look for matches. The two step operators are / (“child”
operator), and // (“descendant” operator).

Text

Specific data such as names, addresses, and quantities contained
within elements (see) or attributes (see).
