Relating to function or activity: The EACOLL process will generate informational messages with event
number 150 at the time of the daily scans or one-time scans of the EMS logs or log files.
Cause: These can occur either if events are loaded using the one-time load function (admin
); or if the daily run time is updated from admin
; or right before the daily scan
begins.
Effect: NA
Recovery: NA
5-1-3 Error & Advisory Messages (Pop-up Events)
This section lists all Pop-up Events that can be generated specifically from Event Analyzer application
conditions.
Possible Critical Pop-up Messages
If a database interaction error (on a procedure call) occurs, an EMS event is generated as explained
in the previous section. In addition, the user will be shown the same error message in a pop-up
message window if the error occurs while the user is on one of the EA or EA Admin screens.
Possible Warning and Informational Pop-up Messages
Function or activity: EA Main Screen events severity filter
At least one of Normal and Critical checkboxes need to be checked!
Cause: Both, Normal and Critical checkboxes left unchecked.
Recovery: Check the Normal, Critical or both checkboxes. If none are checked, there won’t be any
events to return.
At least one of Non-Action and Action checkboxes need to be checked!
Cause: Both, Non-Action and Action checkboxes left unchecked.
Recovery: Check the Non-Action, Action or both checkboxes. If none are checked, there won’t be any
