2-2-4-1 For WVP’s PROCMAN Object
PROCMAN object is the process manager that creates and manages the EAVIEW process.
The assigns and params that are to be passed to the PROCMAN object are specified in
WVPCONF file.
 Event Analyzer Port:
PORT number> [WVPCONF]
WVP requires a port number to be used for launching the browser interface object EAVIEW.
Default value 7590
2-2-4-2 For EACOLL Object
The EACOLL object scans EMS logs once daily and updates the hourly, daily and monthly
databases. The assigns and params that are to be passed to the EACOLL object are
specified in STRTWVP file. Other configuration related to EACOLL functions is stored in the
ENSCRIBE files EAPARAM, EADRET, EACOLS and EAEXCL.
 EA collector process run options:
RUN $vol.subvol.EACOLL /NAME , NOWAIT, TERM $ZHOME, CPU ,
PRI /
[STRTWVP]
The run options for the EACOLL process pair include the process-name (e.g. $ABC), the
CPU where the process primary will run and the priority of the EACOLL process. A valid
process name on NonStop is up to 6 characters long, starting with ‘$’ sign and followed by 1
or more alphanumeric characters with the first character being an alphabet.
