Figure 27 Admin – One-Time Loads
This screen provides options to perform one-time event loads from collectors or log files. This is
useful in scenarios where EA was not running, technical issues were encountered or you just want
to load old data within the defined retention range. The function provides the option the go via the
Collector path to the events or directly to a particular EMS log file (i.e. Code 843).
On the first option (‘set Collectors from’), enter the desired date range by putting in the from and to
dates into the text fields. If only the ‘from’ date is mentioned, EA will attempt to load all data starting
from that date till up until the previous day’s date. [Previous day is excluded.]
Note: If “Today’s’ date is specified in the ‘to’ field, partial load of events for today up to the current
time will take place. The Daily scan as a result will not be able to update “Today’s” values when it
runs “Tomorrow”. It is recommended that “Today’s” date not be specified in the ‘to’ field. However if
this done, then the work around would be to load the events for “Today” using the One-time Load
functionality. (The One-time Load functionality would have to be run after “Today”)
For the second option the EMS log file (Code 843) is to be entered in the text field provided. The
'Browse' button next to the text field brings up a search window where you can search for log files
on a specified disk.
