In addition to the above buttons/icons, there can be other selection options on the toolbar depending
on the type of screen. These options allow easy navigation to another point in time. E.g. a date
selection field and hour, year, month or weekday dropdowns, as shown below:

1-1-3-3 Administration
The EA Administration is done through the ‘EA Admin’ screen. On the WVP menu, go to ‘Admin’
and click ‘EA Admin’ to bring up the screens as shown below:
EA has six Admin setup screens: Configuration, Collectors, Applications, Retentions, Exclusions,
Alerts and Load. Each of these seven options appears as a tab on the EA Admin screen.
Configuration:
There are four parameters whose values are set on this screen: “EA Collector run time”, “Volume to
store Action Event Logs”, “Web ViewPoint ACK Priority Flag” & “Action Event – Look back x days”.
These four parameters are stored in ENSCRIBE file EAPARAM. For details on these parameters

Collectors:
This screen lists the collectors whose log files are scanned daily by EACOLL. Multiple collectors can
be added and once added, EACOLL scans all specified collectors for analyzing the events. By
default, $0 is added as a collector. For details on this screen refer to
Applications:
An Application is a collection of one or more Owner-Subsystem pairs that you desire to monitor as a
group. This screen allows the creation, deletion and modification of application definitions. For

Retentions:
This screen allows changing the retention for the hourly, daily, action event and monthly databases.
Default retention for all of these databases is 2 years. For details on this screen refer to
