EA uses popups. This may cause EA to not work where the browser or antivirus
utilities have popup blockers.
Internet Explorer (IE) is the only browser currently supported by Web ViewPoint.
2-1-1-5 Monitor Settings
The compatible screen resolution range for EA is
Lowest : 1024 by 768
Highest: 1280 by 1024
If the resolution is made any lower than the specified value some screens might overflow the
monitor area.
2-1-2 Licensing
The EA plug-in requires a runtime license key. If the PC from where EA is being accessed (via IE
browser) has Internet access then the license key retrieval is completely automated. If no Internet
access is available then instructions for retrieving a license key via email will be provided. When EA
is initiated and no license file or key is found, the user is provided instructions on how to register and
obtain a product license key.
2-1-2-1 License Processing Basics
Normally during the installation a temporary license (usually multiple months) is generated
automatically. The system will automatically try to refresh the license key when the expiration date is
60 days or less. Currently there are three different kinds of licenses: permanent license, monthly
license, license for a certain term. Monthly and term licenses require a periodic refresh.
If Internet connectivity is available on the PC running Web Viewpiont then the license activation and
refresh process are automatic. If there is no internet connectivity, the system provides the user with
instructions on how to obtain and update their license via email.
If you have license questions or problems, you should contact GMCSC for assistance (you will need
your NonStop System Serial number and VPROC info).
