4-13 Alerts
This section provides an explanation of the ‘Alerts’ drilldown option. ‘Alerts’ refer to threshold counts
defined for events on the Admin-Alert Definitions screen. The section explains where the alert
thresholds can be defined and how the alerts can be viewed.
4-13-1 Overview
The ‘Alerts’ screen is linked to from a number of other EA screens explained in previous sections.
The interface is the same as the Event Details screen. However, in this case, the matching alert
events that are generated by EA (SSID 289) are shown. In order to see how you can set these

4-13-2 Description
An EA Alert is in the form of an EMS event with a specific event number, chosen by the user when
creating the alert definition in the Admin section. An example of an alert definition is shown below:
