SET OA DOMAIN_NAME [
NONE}
•

o
Sets the Onboard Administrator domain name for the active or standby OA.
o
The combination of Onboard Administrator host name and domain name must be 1-255 characters
in length.
o
The name must not begin or end with a dash (-); it must consist only of letters, numbers, and dashes;
and it cannot be entirely numeric.
o
To clear the current domain name, specify NONE.
o
If the DHCP domain name has been disabled, the domain name specified by this command will
override the DHCP domain name. This command requires that Dynamic DNS is enabled.
o
The setting is not effective until Dynamic DNS is enabled on OA.
o
The response depends on the domain name the user provides and also the domain_name_override
state:
—
If the name has a syntax error, an Invalid Arguments error message appears, followed by
the help text for the command.
—
If the domain name is valid and not used currently, the following message appears: OA in bay
X (ACTIVE/STANDBY) set to XXX.
•
Access level/Bay level:
OA administrator
•

The OA accepts domain name character strings subject to the following constraints:
—
The string must be between 1 and 255 characters in length.
—
The characters are case insensitive.
—
The first character of the domain name must be alphanumeric, while the last character can be
either alphanumeric or a period.
—
The characters between the first and last character can be alphanumeric, dash or period.
—
If one or more periods appear in the name, they are used to delimit labels.
—
Labels are between 1 and 63 characters long and begin and end with an alphanumeric
character.
—
The last label is referred as the top-level domain and cannot consist of all numeric characters.
