The Ignition Battery Charger keeps the Ignition Battery sufficiently charged

to start the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) in the event of an extended power

outage. The ECM monitors Ignition Battery Voltage via the generator control

board. The ECM regulates the amount of charging and switches the battery

charger OFF to prevent overcharging the ignition battery. Charging is initated

when relay (K1) on the ECM board closes and connects pins 1 and 3 of the

Battery Charger Control Interface Connector, causing the charger to energize

and begin battery charging.
