Diagnostics Menu
The Diagnostics Menu provides quick and
effective way of testing the functionality of
various aspects of the System 5000
™
. If any
option cards are being utilized, additional
options will be available to test each of
the cards. The above screen depicts an
Analog/Digital Option Module
placed in Slot 1. To access any of the
Diagnostic screens, simply select the
desired option and press the Open
button. Note that as all Diagnostic screens
contain onscreen instructions, the Help &
Documentation button will be disabled. It
is also recommended that Scanning be
Disabled from the Main Menu before
entering any Diagnostic screen.
Analog & 4-20mA Testing
Live analog readings for each channel
as well as the current being supplied
to the 4-20mA loop can be evaluated
via the Analog/4-20mA Testing screen.
Analog values will be highlighted
briefly each time a new reading is
made.
Digital Testing
Live digital readings for each port,
including AC-In, as well as the power to
the 5 volt excitation can be evaluated
via the Digital Testing screen. Digital
values will be highlighted briefly each
time a new reading is made.
Digital
The Digital Self-Test verifies that each digital port can be properly set as an Input or Output
and the expected reading can be measured. Disconnect all digital sensors before performing
this test.
