To set up the COM port as a modem,
select the Start button > Control Panel >
Phone and Modem Options (in Classic
View).
Select the ‘Modems’ tab and press the
‘Add’ button.
Check the ‘Don’t detect my modem;
I will select it from a list.’ option and
press ‘Next’.
Select ‘(Standard Modem Types)’ from
the Manufacturer column.
Select ‘Standard 33600 bps Modem’
from the Models column and press
‘Next’.
Check the Selected Ports option and
select the COM port the System 5000
™
is connected to.USB virtual serial ports
are typically the highest number COM
port. Press ‘Next’.
Once the modem installation has
completed, select the ‘Finish’ button.
