LABEL
DESCRIPTION
Active
Select this check box to activate your rule. You may temporarily deactivate a rule
without deleting it by clearing this check box.
MAC
Enter the MAC address in valid MAC address format, that is, six hexadecimal
character pairs. Static MAC addresses do not age out.
VID
Enter the VLAN group identification number.
Port
Select a port where the MAC address entered in the previous field will be
automatically forwarded.
OK
Click OK to save the new rule to the switch. It then displays in the summary table at
the bottom of the screen.
Close
Click Close to close the screen.
11.11 Filtering
This chapter discusses MAC address port filtering.
11.11.1 Introduction to Filtering
Filtering means sifting traffic going through the switch based on the source and/or destination
MAC addresses and VLAN group (ID).
11.11.2 Configuring Filtering
1 In the Device Panel list, select a device and then right-click.
2 Click Configuration, Switch Configuration and then the Filtering tab to display the
following screen.
