55 — Key operator programs

I/O timeout

This program is used to set the length of time to
wait for an I/O to complete a job on the parallel
port or the network port.

If the data stream to the port does not transmit
data for a length of time exceeding the timeout,
the job will cancel and the next job will start
processing.

The allowable range of the time is 1 to 999
seconds.

Port switching

This program is used to set the switching
method of the parallel port and network port
of this printer.

Network settings

These programs are set when this product is
used as a network printer.

After each program is set, exit the key operator
program, turn off the main switch, and then
turn on the main switch again after a while. The
program that has been set will be effective at
this time.

Before setting and modification of any
network settings, be sure to consult your
network administrator.

IP address setting

When using this product on a network that uses
the TCP/IP protocol, use this program to set the
IP address (IP address, IP subnet mask, and IP
gateway) of this product. The program is set to
ENABLE DHCP by factory default setting, which
has the IP address setting obtained
automatically. When using this product on a
network that uses the TCP/IP protocol, also set
the program

Enable TCP/IP.

Enable TCP/IP

When using this product on a network that uses
the TCP/IP protocol, set this program. Also set
the IP address using the program

IP address

setting.

Enable NetWare

When using this product on a network that uses
the Novell NetWare protocol, set this program.

Enable EtherTalk

When using this product on a network that uses
the EtherTalk protocol, set this program.

Enable NetBEUI

When using this product on a network that uses
the NetBEUI protocol, set this program.

Reset the NIC

This program is used to reset all configurable
items of the NIC to their factory default
settings.

Setting item

Description

PER JOB

After a print job is completed,
automatic port selection state
will be restored.

TIMEOUT

After I/O timeout time elapses,
automatic port selection state
will be restored.

PARALLEL OFF

Printing from the parallel port is
disabled.

NETWORK OFF

Printing from the network port is
disabled.
