To configure SNMP community strings
1
From the Configuration tab, click the Administrator Access folder to expand it.

Select SNMP from the Administrator Access folder.

Select the Community Strings tab.

Click Add.
The Add Community String dialog box appears.

Configure the Add Community String attributes. See the table

on page 143.

Click OK.

Repeat steps 4 to 6 to add more community strings.
To configure the SNMP manager list
Use the SNMP manager list to specify IP addresses that can connect to the SNMP agent.

From the Configuration tab, click the Administrator Access folder to expand it.

Select SNMP from the Administrator Access folder.

Select the General tab. It is normally selected by default.

Click Add in the SNMP Manager List area.
The Add Manager dialog box appears.

Enter the IP address in the Manager IP Address field.

Click OK.

Repeat steps 4 to 6 to add another manager IP address.
To create user accounts
1
From the Configuration tab, click the Administrator Access folder to expand it.

From the Administrator Access folder, select Accounts and Privileges.

Select the View by Accounts tab.

Click Add to add a user account.

Attribute
Description
Community string
Enter the name used as a key to uniquely identify an individual community
entry on the SNMP agent.
Type of access
Specify the read and write access for this community. Available options are
Read-Only and Read/Write.
