APPLICATION OF SILICONE
WHERE TO USE
Bearing area between differential carrier and axle housing.
Gear box and industrial reducer housings.
Wheel end reducer and industrial reducer covers.
Flange caps and clutch gear box covers.
Drop gear and interaxle differential locking control housings.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PRODUCT
Color: Colorless
Temperature: resistance from—50° to + 200°.
Smell: acetic non toxic.
O.E.M. INSTALLATION
Clean and degrease carefully:
with the help of a solvent for large parts.
by washing for small parts.
The screws may not be degreased to avoid seizing.
Let the parts dry.
Apply on one of the faces a single continuous bead of silicone with the help of a gaset ap-
plicator by going around bolt holes (thickness of the sealant bead: 1 mm max).
On the threads, apply only one drop of silicone at the end of the screw.
Assemble the parts and tighten the screws with the selected torque.
Let dry: possible handling after 1 hour.
total vulcanization: 24 to 48 hours.
MAINTENANCE
Disassemble: in case of lock, heat the screws and unstick the parts with a sideways tap.
Clean excess material off the surface.
Reapply silicone as described for O.E.M. installation.
