Dialer Menu (VHSI Tree) > Hayes AT Dialer
Note: These options appear when the dialer option is set to Hayes AT.
Enable answering
Enables/disables answering of incoming calls by the modem (DCE) connected to the
port. When enabled, the modem will automatically answer incoming calls.
Allow retry
Specifies if the modem should redial if the primary number is busy or does not
respond. If enabled, the secondary number will be redialed. If the secondary number is
not defined, the primary number will be redialed.
Retry limit
Defines the maximum number of dialing attempts to be made when a busy or
unresponsive phone number is encountered. If a secondary number is defined, the
dialer will alternate between the primary and secondary numbers until a call is
successfully completed or until the retry limit is reached. Each time the primary or
secondary number is dialed this counts as a retry attempt. For example, specifying 6
allows the primary and the secondary number to be dialed a maximum of three times
each.
Range: 1-9. Default: 4.
Delay between retries
Defines the delay before redialing.
Range: 0-65 seconds. Default: 5.
Speed
Defines the maximum rate in bits per second (bps) at which the dialer, while in
command mode, communicates with the modem connected to the port. This
parameter is used in asynchronous mode only and allows call setup commands to be
issued before a connection is established with an external modem.
Possible values: 1200, 2400, 4800, 7200, 9600, 12000, 14400, 19200, 38400, 57600,
115200, 230400. Default: 115200.
