14. In the K2Config application, do the following for each K2 Media Server with role of iSCSI

bridge to verify that you see the correct number of drives:

a) On the

iSCSI Bridge Server Configuration

page, click

View Target Drives

and proceed as follows:

If you see all drives, both old and new, no further sub-steps are necessary. Skip to the next
step in this procedure.

If some drives are listed as unexposed, continue with the remaining sub-steps in this step.

b) Click

Check

.

c) Restart the K2 Media Server.
d) Repeat this step to make sure you now see the correct number of drives.

15. Monitor the Restripe Utility.

On a file system with a large amount of existing media, this can take days.

NOTE: Do not stop the FTP server once the restripe process begins.

a) Record system information

Make sure you keep diagrams and other on-site documentation up to date.

Expanding bandwidth for Aurora products

The “Expansion by bandwidth” feature is supported on K2 Storage Systems that store media from
both K2 products and Aurora products. If the storage system contains media from Aurora products
and you want to retain that media, additional steps are required, as follows:

1. Before starting the file system expansion, using Notepad or another text editor, open the following

file:

V:\VolumeConfig.xml

2. To the existing XML content, add lines with XML tags

and

to specify the main folder and attic folder for your Aurora media. For example, if the main folder
is “VibrintAVFiles” and the attic folder is “VibrintAttic”, the resulting XML content is as follows:

3. Save and close the

VolumeConfig.xml

file.

4. Proceed with bandwidth expansion process.
