Configuration

The initial installation and configuration of a node must be done in
person, rather than remotely.

To configure the far-end node:

•

Set the node address.

•

Configure the M1-3 that will be used to access the site.

•

The same steps may be followed as for local configuration
once the remote node is accessible.

Enable Alarms

Enable alarm reporting at all ports, modules, and the SCM, see page
3-13,
