6.5.4.3 Network Pages
The ‘Network’ pages are used to establish the communication parameters for the FE (Fast
Ethernet) Management 10/100 BaseT interface port and the GE1/GE2 10/100/1000 BaseT
Gigabit Ethernet traffic ports.

The ‘Network | FE Mgt’ page (Figure 6-7) permits the user to configure the Fast Ethernet
10/100 BaseT Gigabit Ethernet Management Port.
MAC Address
This parameter is read-only and cannot be changed.
IP Address / CIDR Mask
Enter the IP Address CIDR (Classless Inter Domain Routing) Subnet mask using this box.
Gateway IP
Enter the modem’s IP Gateway Address using this box.
Link Configuration
Use the dropdown menu to select the line speed and duplex setting on the CDM-740’s FE (Fast
Ethernet) interface. The available options are:
• Auto • 100 BaseT / Half Duplex
• 1000 BaseT / Full Duplex • 10 BaseT / Full Duplex
• 100 BaseT / Full Duplex • 10 BaseT / Half Duplex
Note: If the configuration of the port is unknown, then “Auto” is the recommended configuration.
