To edit the time and date settings of the RTC (Real-Time Clock), select the digit to be edited using
the ◄ ► arrow keys, then edit the value of that digit using the

▲ ▼

arrow keys. Press ENTER

when done.

IMPORTANT

Note that in accordance with international convention, the date is shown in
DAY-MONTH-YEAR format.

5.8.2 Utilities: Display-Brightness

Display Brightness: 1 .75 .50 .25

To edit the brightness of the VFD (Vacuum Fluorescent Display), use the the ◄ ► arrow keys to
select a suitable brightness level. The selectable values are 1 (100%), .75 (75%), .50 (50%), or .25
(25%). Press ENTER when done.

5.8.3 Utilities: 1:1

Press ENTER key to force unit into

Standby (1:1 only)

The CDM-740 automatically detects the presence of a CRS-175L L-Band 1:1 Redundant Switch.
If Utility: 1:1 is selected and this unit is currently online and part of a 1:1 redundant modem pair
operating in tandem with a CRS-175L switch, the user is prompted to press ENTER (as indicated
above); this command then automatically forces the switchover of operation to the standby unit.

If, however, 1:1 is selected from the Utility menu branch and no CRS-175L switch is detected,
the following error message displays:

... Error ...

No Valid Redundancy
