The ‘Management | SNMP’ page (Figure 6-3) sets and returns administration information for
the CDM-740 Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) feature.
The Administrator can assign the following attributes:
• One SNMP Trap Destination IP Address.
Once the desired IP address has been entered, click [Submit] to save this change.
• A SNMP Read Community string. The factory default for this parameter is public. The
SNMP Read Community string field can be any combination of characters and a length of
4 - 15 characters.
Once the desired SNMP Read Community string has been entered, click [Submit] to save
this change.
• A SNMP Write Community string. The factory default for this parameter is private. The
SNMP Read Community string field can be any combination of characters and a length of
4 - 15 characters.
Once the desired SNMP Write Community string has been entered, click [Submit] to
save this change.
