4. Le point droit
4. Punto recto
Preparation
Select straight stitch.
9 Stitch length; to suit application or fabric,
® Straight stitch needle plate.
9 Straight stitch foot.
Touch pattern 1 to turn on straight stitch.
A red light will be seen above the stitch sym­
bol to indicate that the machine is ready to
produce a basic straight stitch.
Straight stitch needle plate and foot are best
for all straight stitching. The straight stitch
foot allows you to control the fabric easily
when stitching around a curve or close to the
fabric edge. The design of the foot helps
prevent skipped stitches.
The straight stitch foot is to be used only with
the straight stitch needle plate.
Always change back to the appropriate
needle plate and presser toot when doing
sewing other than straight stitching.
Use of the Reverse
Stitch Symbol
If you wish to reinforce the beginning or end
of a seam, touch andj
reverse stitch symbol Ijg .
Machine will only sew a straight stitch in
reverse for as long as you touch the symbol.

Préparatifs
Sélectionnez le point droit,

9 Pied pour point droit.
Touchez le point droit 1 afin de le pro­
grammer.
Un feu rouge s’allumera au-dessus du sym­
bole du point, indiquant ainsi que la machine
est prête à coudre au point droit normal.
La plaque à aiguille et le pied pour point
droit conviennent le mieux à toute la couture
au point droit. Le pied pour point droit permet
de maîtriser le tissu facilement alors que la
couture fait une courbe ou se trouve à proxi­
mité de la lisière du tissu. La forme du pied
empêche de sauter des points.
On n’utilise le pied pour point droit qu’avec
la plaque à aiguille pour point droit
seulement.
N’oubliez jamais de remplacer le pied et la
plaque à aiguille pour point droit contre le
pied et la plaque appropriés, lorsque vous
utilisez tout autre point-motif que le point
droit.
Usage du symbole
de marche arrière
Pour renforcer le début ou la fin d’une cou­
ture, touchez et gardez le_doigt sur le sym­
bole de marche arrière ¡g .
La machine ne coud un point droit en mar­
che arrière que lorsque le doigt touche le
symbole. Pour de plus amples renseigne­
ments sur la marche arrière, consultez la
page 38, 3 e chapitre, La couture électro­
nique.

lidad cuando cosa alrededor de una curva o
cerca del borde del material. El diseño del
prénsatelas le ayuda a evitar que se salten
los puntos.
El prénsatelas para el punto recto se ha de
usar solamente con la plancha de aguja
para punto recto.
Siempre vuelva a la plancha de aguja y el
prénsatelas adecuados cuando cosa con
otro punto que no sea el punto recto.
Use del símbolo para
punto inverso
Si Usted quiere reforzar el principio o el fin
de una costura, toque y mantenga^el dedo
en el símbolo para punto inverso .
La máquina solamente producirá puntos
rectos inversos tanto que se mantenga el
dedo en el símbolo. Para detalles adicio­
