You can select paper source, paper size, and orientation in your application
software. If your application software does not support your custom paper size,
select the next larger paper size. Then adjust the print area by changing the right
and left margins in your iqjplication software.

Loading Paper
You can use plain рарец coated paper, tran^aiencies, glossy paper; and envelopes in
the multipurpose sheet feeder. (See Chapter 3 for more information about paper types.)
H*" Open the top cover of the MFC. Tbm the purple paper thickness adjustment
lever downwards toward the platen. When you want to print on thick paper; lift
the lever upwards toward the control panel. When you want to use thin paper,
move the lever downwards. TTien, close the top cover.

Open the feeder. Remove any paper in the feeder, and load the new paper. Fan
the stack of p^r before loading.
^ Load the pq>er stack with the printing (coated) side upwards. Adjust the
paper guide. Make sure the paper is stacked below the arrow. You can load up
to approximately 200 sheets of plain paper.
H» Adjust the paper adjustment lever.

Close the feeder cover.
When you use labels or transparencies for overhead projectors, do not use the
multipurpose sheet feeder. Instead, use the Manual Feed Slot, explained later in
this manual.
