Automatic Transmission
This is the easiest way to send a fax. IMPORTANT Do not pick up the handset
—OR—press [Speaker Phone |.
H“ Insert the document face down in the feeder.
Enter the fax number from One Touch or Speed Dial or Tel-index or keypad.
# Press W.
Dual Access
If the document feeder is empty, you can place a document in the feeder, set
temporary settings, dial a number, and begin scanning the fax into memory, even
when the MFC is receiving a fax, sending a fax, or printing a fax from memory.
The screen displays the new job number and how much memory is available.
If you get a MEMORY FULL message while scanning the first page of a fax press
W to cancel the scan. If you get a MEMORY FULL message while scanning in a
subsequent page, you’ll have the option to press to transmit the pages
scanned so far, or to press S to cancel the operation.

Checking Job Status
You can check which jobs are in the memory waiting to be sent, press I Function!.
Q], d] to check it While the MFC is sending or receiving a fax, press S. The
screen displays job numbers. Press 0 or [0 to see them.
Real Time lyansmission______________________
When Memory is full, the MFC cannot continue to scan documents into memory
before sending. However, you can turn on “REAL TIME TX." (iFunctionj.
(T|, [T],
[U). Then place the documents in the feeder and enter the fax number. As soon
as the phone line is free, the MFC starts dialing and sending the fax.
