Retrieving Memory Status List
and Fax Messages____________________________
You can retrieve the Memory Status List from a remote fax machine, and see if
you have any fax messages stored in Message Center Memory. You can then use
this list to retrieve specific fax messages.
W- Dial your MFC phone number.
When you hear the beep, immediately enter your Remote Access Code.
S' When you hear 2 short beeps, press [9] 0 D3-
IS When you hear the fax tones, press (^. (Don’t hang up if you also want to
retrieve messages; if you just want to check the list, hang up after you press 1^)
S' The remote fax machine prints the Memory Status List.
S As soon as you hear 2 beeps, press 0 0 (U, then enter the two-digit
number of the fax message you want to retrieve, followed by 0 0 to end.
(For example, enter0000for message 2). To print all fax messages,
press 0 0.
S When you hear the fax tones, press [Sioftl.
S Hang up the phone you’re using.
S The remote fax machine prints the fax messages.
Changing Fax Forwarding Number
^ Dial your MFC phone number.
# When you hear the beep, immediately enter your Remote Access Code.
When you hear 2 short beeps, enter000.
14* Enter the new telephone number of the fax machine where you want your
fax messages forwarded. You cannot use @ and [§) as dial numbers. Use
@ to enter a dialing pause between digits.
Press (§] after you enter the new number.
0- When you hear the two beeps, press000.
^ When you hear fax tones, press [^. Do not hang up the handset
ig- The remote fax machine prints the Memory Status List so you can check that
the new forwarding number is correct.
g If the new number is correct, press000after the 2 beeps
—OR—
If the new number is incorrect, enter000to return to Step 4.
10 Hangup.
