ECM (Error Correction Mode)________________
The Error Correction Mode (ECM) assures error free reception at the rereiving fax
machine, by checking the integrity of a fax transmission while it is in progress.
ECM transmissions are possible only between machines that both have the ECM
feature. If they do, you may send and receive fax messages that are continuously
checked for their integrity.
Sufficient memory must be available in your machine for this feature to work.

Sometimes there is noise or interference on the phone line, which makes it
difficult for your MFC to transmit a fax. You can set the MFC to automatically
retransmit (re-tx) pages that had an error occur during Transmission.

?2 Press (T| or 0 to select ON or OFF.
18 Press ® when the screen displays your selection.
14^ Press S to exit.
ECM and Error Re-Transmission can work together.
Composing Electronic Cover Page___________
Your cover page includes the name/number stored in the One Touch or
Speed Dial memory. If you’re dialing manually, the name is left blank.
2 The cover page indicates the fax is from your Station ID, and the number of
pages you’re sending. If you have COVERPG ON/OFF (Function 1-5-.3)
ON, the number of pages remains blank.
