NET SatisFAXtion Service
Service Name: NET SatisFAXtion (mloader)
Must run as an Administrator user.
2.3.2.1
Starting and Stopping NET SatisFAXtion
Manually starting and stopping the NET SatisFAXtion service is rarely needed
because all configuration utilities will restart the service if needed.
The easiest way to start and stop NET SatisFAXtion is via the
LoaderCon-
sole
icons in the notification area. Right click on the icon, and choose
Start
to
start the service, or choose
Stop
to stop the service.
You can also start or stop the service from the Start menu, under
Programs
⇨
NET SatisFAXtion
⇨
Fax Service (Start & Stop).
Finally you can start or stop the service from the
Services
control panel, though
this method is not as user-friendly as the others. In particular you will not re-
ceive any feedback to know when NET SatisFAXtion has finished loading all
modules and is ready to send and receive faxes.
2.3.2.2
Running NET SatisFAXtion as an Application
Running NET SatisFAXtion as an application can be a useful diagnostic tech-
nique. It helps diagnose the following problems:
To troubleshoot cover sheet and document conversion problems
To troubleshoot Autoprint failures.
To troubleshoot crash errors.
To troubleshoot rights/permissions related issues or failures.
Before making a change to the service, write down the account the service is
currently running as, so that it can be put back to the same account later. See
First, stop any running Email Gateway (SMTP Email Gateway or POP3 Email
Gateway). Run the Change Server Settings utility,
