CSID and TSID
Called Subscriber Identifier (CSID) and Transmit Subscriber Identifier (TSID)
are how the fax server and other fax machines identify each other. When a fax
is sent or received, one of the first things that happens is the called fax sends
its CSID, and then the calling fax sends its TSID. NET SatisFAXtion records the
other fax device’s CSID in its transaction log.
CSID is up to 20 characters long, and can include letters, numbers, spaces and
symbols. It is a good idea to set CSID to either your main fax line, a contact
phone number, or your company name so that recipients can identify the
sender. CSID cannot be blank.
