16 Modem

CAUTION: Before you begin the following procedure, see the safety instructions in the
XFR D630 Product Information Guide and in the
XFR D630 User’s Guide.

NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by
periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a connector on the back of the
computer).

NOTICE: To avoid damaging the system board, you must remove the main battery before you
begin working inside the computer (see

Removing the Modem

1. Follow the instructions in

8. Pull up on the pull-tab to disconnect the modem from the connector on the system board.
