CAUTION: ENGINE

CAREFUL NOT TO
BURN HANDS.
Turn low speed stop
screw (A)
counterclockwise until
throttle stop screw
controls engine speed.

NOTE: Check engine
speeds using JDM71
Vibration Tachometer.
Put Tachometer (A) on
air cleaner. Set
Tachometer to read
1250 rpm.
Turn throttle stop screw
until engine speed is
1250 rpm.

Turn idle mixture screw in until engine speed
drops, then out until engine speed increases and
begins to drop again.
Adjust idle mixture screw for highest engine
speed between drops, then turn screw out an
additional 1/8 turn.

Watch Tachometer and
turn throttle stop screw
until engine speed is
1250 rpm.
M37101 -UN-29AUG88
Turn low speed stop screw (A) until engine
speed is 1350 rpm.
Move throttle lever to fast idle position. Bend
high speed stop (B) in or out until engine speed
is 3450 rpm. Check low idle rpm again and
adjust if necessary.
