Chapter 10
Loading CVIM / USER–PAK Configurations
10–3
The procedure for loading a portion of a configuration will depend on which
portion you want to load, and where it is stored.
For example, suppose you want to reconfigure the CVIM module, using the
Viewports / Serial Ports
portion of a previous configuration as a basis for
the viewports in the new configuration. Consider the two cases below:
•
If the previous configuration is stored internally, you could simply select
Load Config. (Int)
, and then select the
Viewports / Serial Ports
item to
load that portion of the stored configuration. You could then select
Load
Default Config
, and then select the
Menus
and
Inspection
items to load
those portions of the default configuration. This would combine the
stored
Viewports / Serial Ports
configuration with the default
Menus
and
Inspection
configurations.
•
If the previous configuration is stored on a memory card, you would first
load the configuration from the memory card (the memory card
configuration would then become the CVIM module’s current working
configuration). Then you could load the
Menus
and
Inspection
portions
of the default configuration; in this way, the
Viewports / Serial Ports
portion of the memory card configuration is preserved for use in the new
configuration.
The USER–PAK
Menus
and
Viewports / Serial Ports
configuration data is
stored in the CVIM module in an allotted area of memory that is also used
for storing CVIM window templates and reference window features (refer to
the CVIM User’s Manual for more information regarding these features).
