Get Information About Alerts
The Alerts icon in the system monitor shows the alert status. When you position your pointer
over the icon, a tooltip shows the number of open errors, warnings, and informational messages:
Unlike the Connectivity, Disks, and Transactions icons, the Alerts icon requires an ODBC
connection to fetch the alerts status. This table describes how to interpret the alert state based
on the color of the Alerts icon:

A gray icon signals one of these conditions:

The system is not connected.
•
The logged on user does not have the required privileges to view alerts.
•
The repository view for alerts does not exist.
Gray
At least one OPEN or ACKNOWLEDGED alert is present and has an ERROR alert level.
