3-1-1-5 Number of LDEVs Box

The Number of LDEVs box is on the lower right of the XP Remote Web Console Main pane.

NOTE:

Each LDEV included in a LUSE is counted in the Number of LDEVs box. For example, if a LUSE

includes four LDEVs, all four LDEVs are counted.

Number of LDEVs Box

Assigned (OPEN) displays the number of open-system volumes that have assigned paths.

NOTE:

For the purpose of counting paths, each LUSE volume is counted as a single volume.

Unassigned (OPEN) displays the number of open-system volumes that do not have assigned paths.

NOTE:

This does not include On Demand Storage volumes or Auto LUN XP reserved volumes.

Reserved (OPEN) displays the number of open-system volumes that are Auto LUN XP reserved volumes.

On Demand displays the number of additional open-system volumes that are available to the user by the On

Demand Storage function.

NOTE:

If you select Flex Copy XP Device Only in the Device Type drop-down list, the On Demand

Capacity field is not displayed.

Assigned (Mainframe) displays the number of S/390® and HRX volumes that have assigned paths. Note:

This does not include Auto LUN XP reserved volumes.

Reserved (Mainframe) displays the number of S/390® and HRX volumes that are Auto LUN XP reserved

volumes.

Total (All LDEVs) displays the total of all of the above volume types.

Apply implements all of the changes or settings made on the XP Remote Web Console main pane.

Cancel cancels the changes or settings made on the XP Remote Web Console main pane.

NOTE:

If you input any changes, the text may change to

blue bold italics

or an icon may change. The

changes are not implemented until you click Apply.
