LISTDEV Commands
The following forms of the PUP LISTDEV command retrieve information about
currently executing SMF processes:
Figure B-6 illustrates the format of the information that the LISTDEV command
retrieves for all forms of the command. Individual variances of the information retrieved
when you use any of the five forms of the command are illustrated within the command
descriptions following the figure. For a complete explanation of the information shown
in
Figure B-6 , refer to the Peripheral Utility Program (PUP) Reference Manual.
You need no special privileges to use any of the LISTDEV commands.
LISTDEV DISK TYPE 3 Retrieves information about multiple currently
executing physical volume and virtual disk
processes
LISTDEV disk-or-volume-
name
Retrieves information about a particular
currently executing virtual disk or physical
volume process
LISTDEV POOL TYPE 25 Retrieves information about all currently
executing storage pool processes
LISTDEV process-name Retrieves information about a particular
currently executing process or multiple
executing processes associated with a storage
pool
LISTDEV VIRTDISK Retrieves information about all currently
executing virtual disk processes
