Virtual Disk Attribute Set

when the value of EXTENTINTERVAL exceeds the value of
EXTENTTHRESHOLD. An EXTENTINTERVAL greater than 0 represents a
specific extent interval. For example, if a storage pool has an
EXTENTTHRESHOLD of 6 and an EXTENTINTERVAL of 2, file-full events are
generated when there are 6, 4, 2, and 0 extents remaining to be allocated for a file.
The default value is OFF.

UPDATESTATS

is the number of minutes a storage pool process should let elapse between
refreshes of statistical information about physical volumes in the pool. Statistics
include such items as the amount of disk space used and the number of files
allocated. SMF uses these statistics to select volumes when creating new files. A
value of OFF disables statistics maintenance. A value of 0 through 1440
represents the number of minutes between statistical data refreshes. Values that
are too large might result in file-placement decisions that are based on out-of-date
information. Values that are too small might impair performance. The default value
is 1 minute.

STARTDOWN

indicates whether the execution state of the storage pool process should be set to
UP or DOWN when the process is started. A value of TRUE sets the execution
state to DOWN. A value of FALSE sets it to UP. The default value is FALSE.

Virtual Disk Attribute Set

The virtual disk attribute set is a collection of attributes that describe a virtual disk. You
specify these attributes as parameters in the DEFINEVIRTDISK and
REDEFINEVIRTDISK commands.

ANTLOC

identifies the physical location of the name table (ANT) catalog file, which must be
in a storage pool. This attribute has no default value. The ANT file need not be on
the same physical volume as the PENDOPS file.

The storage pool in which the catalog volume resides does not need to be in the
same pool that is associated with the virtual disk process.

The catalog volume must be configured as a TMF data volume.
