Obtaining Information
Removing one physical disk and placing it elsewhere, causing the physical disk
name to change
Recovery from the above mentioned cases is not possible, except by falling back to the
original configuration. In short, any operation that results in either changing the
physical volume name or changing the VDP name should not be performed.
Obtaining Information
Both COUP and PUP commands are used to obtain information about SMF processes,
storage pools, virtual disks, and physical volumes.
Process Information
To obtain information on currently executing SMF processes, use the COUP STATUS
or INFO commands:

Storage Pool Information
To obtain information on storage pool and virtual disk configurations, you use the PUP
SHOWPOOL and SHOWVIRTDISK commands:
STATUS
Displays the attributes of a currently executing process
INFO
Displays the attributes associated with an OSCONFIG entry for
a process and, optionally, the attributes of any related executing
process
LISTDEV
process-name
Displays the attributes of a currently executing process
and, optionally, information about physical volumes or
virtual disks associated with the process if it is a
storage pool process
LISTDEV VIRTDISK
Displays information for all currently executing virtual
disk processes
LISTDEV POOL
Displays information for all currently executing storage
pool processes and, optionally, information about
physical volumes or virtual disks associated with the
process
SHOWPOOL
Displays the attributes of one or all defined storage pools
SHOWVIRTDISK
Displays the attributes of one or all defined virtual disks
