Stopping SMFIXUP
command
is a single SMFIXUP command. When command is given, any value for infile is
ignored, and SMFIXUP executes the specified command and exits. If command is
not given, SMFIXUP accepts commands from infile.
When SMFIXUP begins executing, it displays a banner and the following prompt:
SMFIXUP n=>
where n is the incremental command number for the session (see also
on page 9-11). Commands can be entered after the prompt in either uppercase or
lowercase.
Stopping SMFIXUP
SMFIXUP can be stopped by either entering ctrl-y or by using the EXIT command.
Catalog Maintenance Commands
By design, access to SMF catalog files is restricted by DP2 because any modification
of SMF catalogs can result in lost data and files. Although the preceding is true, the
following catalog maintenance commands can be used to change characteristics of the
SMF catalog files.
FILECODE Command
The FILECODE command changes the file code of the specified catalog file to what is
specified for n.
n
is the new file code specification.
{catalog-file-name | *}
specifies a catalog file or files whose file code is to be changed:
catalog-file-name
is the name of the catalog file whose file code is to be changed to the value of
n. If sys.vol.subvol is omitted, the current default values are used.
*
indicates that the file codes for all files in the subvolume are to be changed to
what is specified for n. If sys.vol.subvol is omitted, the current default values
are used.
FILECODE n [sys.][vol.][subvol.]{catalog-file-name | *}
