ASSUME Command
existing-process-name-spec
identifies one or more processes whose attributes you want to alter.
$process-name
is the name of a process for which an OSCONFIG entry exists.
*
indicates you want to alter all processes for which an OSCONFIG entry exists.
attribute-parameter
is one of the attribute parameters described under
RESET
allows you to set one or more attributes to their default value. The
reset-list
consists of one or more attribute names, separated by a comma. Attribute names
you can specify are:
SWAP
EXTSWAP
CPU
MEMPAGES
PFSSIZE
FORCELOW
HIGHPIN
DEBUGMODE
SAVEABEND
DEBUGRULES
ASSUME Command
The ASSUME command sets the default COUP object type to PROCESS so it need
not be specified in subsequently submitted commands. The setting persists during your
COUP session unless you reissue the ASSUME command using a different object
type. You need no special privileges to execute this command. While COUP supports
other forms of the ASSUME command, the following syntax shows the only form valid
for SMF.
