Cause. VDP could not obtain the name range from the pool because the pool is not in
the proper state.
Effect. A create or relocate request to the VDP fails.
Recovery. Ensure that the pool process is up and running, and then retry the failed
operation.
5400: ZSMF-EVT-UNABLEGETNEXTVOL
process-name
is the name of a storage pool process associated with token
ZSMF-TKN-PROCESSNAME-LINK1.

Cause. The file system call GETVOLSINPOOLNEXT failed when a storage pool
process attempted to obtain the name of a physical volume in a storage pool from the
MVTABLE catalog file.
Effect. The operation that required the volume name could not be completed.
Recovery. The recovery depends on the file system error that occurred.
