RESUMEPENDOPS Command
For additional information, see
physvol-name
specifies the name of a physical volume.
ENABLEPMCREATES Command Considerations
The ENABLEPMCREATES command causes file creation requests to be accepted
from virtual disk processes for the specified physical volume. The physical volume
process must be executing in the UP state.
Numerous errors indicating that the volume is disabled for placement manager
creates can result from problems with the pool encountered because of using a
previous DISABLEPMCREATES command. Also, these types of errors are likely
as a result of executing a PUP EXCLUDE request for D-series versions, or for G-
series versions, as a result of executing the following SCF command:
SCF ALTER $DISK, POOL EXCLUDE
These errors can be eliminated by using the ENABLEPMCREATES command.
RESUMEPENDOPS Command
The RESUMEPENDOPS command restarts a recovery operation that was suspended
by using the SUSPENDPENDOPS command. See also
, next.
object-name
is the object name: for example, a file name given for a FILE CREATE operation.
process-name
is the SMF process name.
SUSPENDPENDOPS Command
The SUSPENDPENDOPS command suspends an SMF process recovery operation.
SMF processes that do not finish execution due to some failure, are retried
automatically when the process again becomes available. If successive retries
continue to fail, the SUSPENDPENDOPS command allows you to suspend the
recovery operation instead of allowing the SMF process to repeatedly retry the
operation.
