General Maintenance
D0536 Rev. B
6-5
To replace the batteries, take the following steps:
1. Remove the front access panel.
2. Turn off the DC and AC power switches.
3. Remove the top cover.
4. Access the two 8Ah batteries from the top.
Cut the two black wire ties holding the
batteries to the shelf.
5. Disconnect the red, blue, and black wires
as you lift the batteries through the access
window.
6. To install the two new batteries, reverse the
removal procedure.
Install the first battery and connect the black
wire.
Connect the blue jumper wires between the
two batteries.
Connect the red wire to the red terminal on the
second battery.
7. Replace the top cover.
8. Turn the AC and DC power switches ON. This
cycles power which allows the operator to
search for the target magnet and “relearn”
its limits.
NOTE: Be aware that the arm will cycle
open and close (close or open) as it relearns
its limits. If you don’t cycle the power, the
operator will not “relearn” its limits and will
not operate properly.
9. Replace the front access panel and lock it.
