Conversion Format

Prompt Before Overwriting Output File
This option enables a prompt that warns you if you are about to overwrite an existing file.
Select Conversion | Prompt Before Overwriting Output File to enable this option.
Convert Selected Files
This option initiates the conversion process. Highlight the files you want converted or transferred and select
Conversion | Convert Select Files from the menu or click the Go icon.
Convert Local Files
This option converts Palm-SPEC files that have already been transferred onto your desktop or laptop PC.
To access this option, select Conversion | Convert Local Files. When selected, a dialog box then opens.
Navigate to and select the Palm-SPEC file on your desktop or laptop PC that you want to convert. Then select
Open to begin the conversion.
Local files are defined as dark, reference, sample and processed Palm-SPEC files on your desktop or laptop PC
that have already been transferred from the handheld PC.
Log Menu Functions
The following section details options available from the Log menu of OOIPSCU. Where applicable, the icon on the
main OOIPSCU page that is associated with that function is provided next to the menu option name.
Enabled
To enable the Palm-SPEC Conversion Utility Log functions, select Log | Enabled from the menu or click the
Enable Log icon.
The Log function is enabled if there is a check mark next to Enabled in the Log menu functions.
View Current
To view the current Palm-SPEC Conversion Utility Log (which documents all conversion utility events and stamps
each event with a data and time and the user operating the software), select Log | View Current from the menu.
A Notepad file then opens with all Palm-SPEC Conversion Utility events listed since the function was enabled or
renamed.
