Configure
To set the parameters for correcting drift, select Spectra | Drift Correction | Configure from the
menu.
Enable Drift Correction
Enable this function to correct for variations in spectral intensity
due to light source and system drift. This function is the same as
selecting Spectra | Drift Correction | Enable from the menu.
Non-absorbing Wavelength (nm)
Wavelength that will represent midpoint of your reference area.
The region you choose as the reference area must be in a non-
absorbing region of the sample (for absorbance measurements)
or in the 100% transmission region of the sample (for
transmission measurements).
Avoid selecting a region that has low scope mode intensity. For
the best results, make sure that the scope mode intensity of the
region that you are using as your reference is at least 15% of the
peak intensity.
Bandwidth (nm)
Enter the total bandwidth of the reference area. This represents
the nm above and below the non-absorbing wavelength (which
you specified in the box above) that will be monitored.

System Diagnostics
This feature monitors the functionality of the system -- such as the performance of the light source, the life of the
bulbs, signal-to-noise ratio for the current acquisition parameters, and integration time optimization.
