OOIPS2000 Introduction
OOIPS2000 Palm-SPEC Spectrometer Operating Software for Pocket PC is designed for ease of use. You can
use the stylus to quickly navigate through the software. To obtain data, place a sample in the holder and then
either select a previously saved experiment method to receive data or click the icons on the screen to take new
measurements. You can access several commonly used OOIPS2000 functions via convenient buttons on the
main display screen.

OOIPS2000 Features
OOIPS2000 boasts advanced data acquisition and management features, such as:

Custom experiment method feature that allows you to configure custom experiment methods (from 104
software events) for your application. Once you save a custom method, you need only select the method
file to execute your custom experiment.

Log Data feature that allows you to save data with the touch of a button.
•
System Diagnostics feature that monitors in real-time system performance and components, such as the
performance of the light source, the life of the bulb, signal-to-noise ratio, and integration time optimization.
•
Application Log feature that records (in a text file) every event the software executes with a date, time,
and user stamp, providing an auditing trail for system managers.
•
Users Management feature that allows you to add and delete users and configure access rights to system
functions and features. You can customize functions for individual users and require that users log into
the system in order to use it.
