Creating an Interplay destination subject
n Select "Interplay" in the 'New subject' dialog box.

Type in the destination catalog of the Interplay database where the clips will be checked in. You can browse the cat-
alog hierarchy directly by clicking on the [Browse] button in the "Catalog" section. You can use ENGSoft to create
subfolders of Catalogs.
Then select the workspace on the storage server and type in the destination folder where you want to store the
media files. You can browse the catalog hierarchy directly by clicking on the [Browse] button in the "Path" section.
You can change the destination later by clicking on the button on the top of the ingest panel.
Configuring an Interplay subject
You can change the subject's options by clicking on the button on the top of the ingest panel.
In the "Ingest options" tab, you can modify the Interplay subject options:
l Whether or not to create an Avid® system compliant output directory.
l Whether or not to generate a proxy resolution for the clip.
l Whether or not to ingest the high resolution with the edit while record feature.
The "Create output directory as Avid system" option creates a folder in your destination target with the same name as your
ingesting computer plus a digit. The ingested media files will be created in this folder. Once the folder contains 10, 000 files,
a new folder is created whose name is incremented and in which new ingested media will be stored, and so on. This is
required in order to comply with Avid® Interplay specifications. The folders are created automatically. It is advisable to keep
the option checked.
